What make their family broken down?

One of my friends sent me a YouTube video about a family broken down.



The son of this family got cancer and had to go chemotherapy. Then his father quited the job, with his mum together helped to send their son to go for chemo. Their son got medical insurance. But after 2 years, his medical insurance maxed out. The whole family began to leave on credit card borrowings and at last they broke.


This video was documented on accusing how evil the credit lending system was. However, I feel this family has a problem oriented formation from the beginning. Both the two parents are emotional people. There is no thinker or a steersman in their family.

When their son got cancer, they only thought of how to give their son best treatment. The financial side on how to keep the family afloat was too easy to have been omitted. It was expected that after their son got cancer, there would be more spendings.

The feeling to me is both parents are feelers not thinkers, and this type of single-minded families must be very risky. There was no steersman in their family to refuse to ratify the father on quitting his job. It is so obvious a mistake.


Second mistake they have made, was on how to avoid maxed out the medical insurance cap. Their son’s medical insurance had a cap of US$ 2 Million. It was not easy to max out 2 million on chemotherapies. They should have checked internet on how many chemotherapies a typical cancer patient would have to go through, then chose a hospital their insurance could cover. It was very stupid at the beginning to purchase everything best, only at last found they could not afford any more chemos after their insurance cap maxed out.


The problem is a feeler will normally like to couple with a feeler. People appreciate similar ideas, similar characters and similar cultures. Nevertheless, ignore the risk of single-minded will usually results very badly.

The unhealthy nature of their family formation literarily made their son got killed.
